Crape Myrtles in Nearly Full Bloom 

Very dependable plant. Coincidence or AI 

A few weeks ago, my music play list stopped playing while I was driving. I didn't do anything about it since it was the 3 weeks between the fast of Tammuz and the Fast of Av. This morning, I looked at my phone and hit the music tab. It said 'no list'. So I went to my play list and hit on one of the songs I bought from Apple. And the music play list started working again... ...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... I don't know why it stopped working but then again, could it be that AI thought I shouldn't be listening to music during the three weeks?

Blood Test and Medical Exam for Martin 

I was at my internal medicine doctor yesterday (Amazon owns One Medical which owns Potomac Physicians, for whom my doctor works - they have the penthouse floor of a 15 story office building and the view from the waiting room is pretty nice*). We had a good discussion. My doctor told me that there had been some big advancements in knee replacements and I should feel comfortable if I started to get pain there and wanted to go that way in a year or two. I told him that when I was leaving the hospital after my second hip implant I saw the orthopedic surgeon. I asked if he would sign my application to join the International Brotherhood of Cyborgs. He said, "you need knee implants before I endorse your application.". Anyway, /..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I also had a blood draw and today I got the results. I was a bit surprised to be in the normal category in every metric. I expected either sodium, calcium or chloride would be elevated because I use a lot of salt and take vitamin D+calcium pills sometimes........................................ * I noticed that Amazon does not allow them to give out free Amazon brand pens. I guess you don't get to be a trillion dollar company if you waste money like that.

Smoke makes for a great sunrise 

Forest fires last week in Canada resulted in a lot of smoke that has now drifted over our area. It slightly reduces visibility and sunlight but also gives some great sunrises. Another Deer Miss 

Here are two more lily flowers the deer haven't attacked yet. Purple cone flowers to right, white cone flowers in the background. If not for the deer I would have dozens, maybe hundreds of nice lily blossoms. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Under consideration for next year higher dosage of dry repellent, spray repellent or use of vacuumed cat lint.

Hip Replacements May Last Longer Than Anticipated. 

Somebody asked me a few months ago how long I thought my hip replacement would last (if something fails, it isn't the replacement, it is the bond between the replacement and the bone). I told him that I thought it would likely outlast me.
