Two = total number of MLB wins last year for 5 Nationals Starters

Probably the lowest number of wins for a starting rotation in a hundred years (also only 9 losses).

Here are the Starting 5 for the Washington Nationals 2007 season

Beth's Travels

Beth left for Atlanta on March 24, got to Atlanta on March 25, left Atlanta March 27, arrived in DC March 27. Only travel problem was leaving her cosmetic bag (containing her glasses) in Atlanta. Unfortunately John had a bad back and couldn't visit but her G-ma had recovered from the upset stomach that followed the G visit.

G Returns from Atlanta

He again took the train. His grandma got sick while he was there; possibly some bad milk or something. His train left Atlanta about 8pm on March 20 and pulled into Union Station in DC about 1000am the next day. He was home by about 1130am. Of course flying would have taken far less time but he still has the aerophobia.

G is off to Atlanta - Minimally Loaded

George is off to Atlanta today, via Amtrak (still phobic about using an airplane) , to visit his Grandmother. It is only for two nights. He got everything he needed into a back pack.

Julian Declines the Paper Review

We have a friend named Julian Silk who is a teacher at the U of Md, University College. I had seen him the previous week and told him he was smart not to come visit us until the Sabbath because Ann would want him to review her paper about bones (yes- bones, as in tibia, femur, etc.).

Well Julian came for Sabbath Friday night and asked him to review the paper anyway. Julian declined saying he was too harsh a critic - a very good tactic- I'll have to compliment him someday.

I was a bit worried that Ann would bring a copy of the paper with her to Mincha/Maariv on Saturday but she didn't.

Dentist's Inquiry

M went to the dentist today. No important action. However, there was an amusing dialogue.

Dentist - How's your wife?

M - She cut herself on the dishwasher and needed 20+ stitches.

Dentist - Where was the cut?

M - Near the knee. It shouldn't interfere with your dentistry work when she comes in tomorrow.

Dentist - Well if it did interfere, I think you would probably bring me before the board [of dentistry for de-licencing]

A visit to the ER followed by a Purim Seudah

Ann slipped on the kitchen floor and fell hard on the edge of the dishwasher door (which she had left in the down position). It made a deep gash in her leg. We went to suburban hospital and she got about two dozen stitches. We finished in time to go to the Postals for dinner (today being Purim). We were only a bit late and one guest came well after we did.

G gets 164 on LSAT

He got the word through an email. This should be enough to get into The Law School of the University of Maryland at Baltimore which is one of his preferred schools, although probably not enough to get into The Law School of The George Washington University.
